    Cabinet agrees measures to support education provision in Basra


     

    The Cabinet held its regular weekly meeting in Baghdad on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi.

    The Cabinet approved the granting of a license to establish a privately-funded international school academy in Basra province.

    The Cabinet also approved additional resources to fund new continuing contracts to a number of supply teachers in the province.

    The Cabinet approved the recommendations of the Ministerial Energy Council on the Memorandum of Understanding with the State of Kuwait concerning oil fields in the border areas between the two countries.

    The Cabinet approved a draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Fixed Platforms Located on the Continental Shelf, 1988.
