    Cabinet discusses development of Iraq’s border crossings


     

    The Cabinet held its regular weekly meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi.

    The Cabinet discussed projects to upgrade Iraq’s border crossings, approved a number of draft laws and reviewed several policies and initiatives.

    The Cabinet agreed to establish a working group to oversee the development of a unified process to reviewing and approving investment bids for the upgrade of Iraq’s border crossings.

    The Cabinet approved funds to support ongoing construction work on the Arar-Anaza road in the border area between Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

    The Cabinet approved a draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage, 1992.
