    Cabinet discusses housing, public services and national security


    The Cabinet held its weekly regular meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.

    The Cabinet received briefings on ongoing security operations to disrupt terrorist cells, and discussed efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat organised crime.

    The Cabinet discussed the drought affecting parts of Iraq, and approved funding to support affected regions to mitigate the impact of current and predicted water scarcity.

    The Cabinet discussed housing projects in Iraq, and approved the completion of the Quds Housing Complex in Najaf province.
