    Cabinet discusses implementation of bilateral agreements with Jordan


    The Cabinet held its weekly regular meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi.

    Prime Minister Abd Al-Mahdi briefed the Cabinet on national security and regional developments.

    The Prime Minister also briefed the Cabinet on his discussions with Jordanian ministers to implement several bilateral agreements across a number of areas including trade, telecommunications and energy.

    The Prime Minister told the Cabinet that deepening cooperation with Jordan is important for the two countries and the region.

    The Cabinet reviewed several infrastructure projects, and directed that the project to rehabilitate the Basra oil refinery be resubmitted to the Cabinet for approval.
