    Cabinet discusses provincial elections


    The Cabinet held its regular meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi.

    The Cabinet voted on setting a date for holding provincial elections once the work of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) and the Council of Representatives has been completed

    The Cabinet decided to suspend employees who are under investigation for corruption and other crimes.

    The Cabinet also gave the Minster of Education the authority to address urgent matters related to study time and students’ needs.

    The Cabinet voted to grant to the families covered by the Social Protection Law one hundred thousand Iraqi dinars per family.

    The Cabinet also voted to exempt the German loan projects from local product protection fees.
