    The Cabinet discusses strengthening ties with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states


    The Cabinet held its weekly meeting in Baghdad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.

    The Cabinet reviewed progress in the E-Government project, several reconstruction projects across Iraq, and discussed measures to improve a range of public services.

    The Cabinet received briefing on the phone call between Prime Minister Al-Abadi and King Salman of Saudi Arabia.  The Cabinet thanked King Salman for gifting a football stadium  to Iraq.

    The Cabinet also discussed strengthening ties between Iraq and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

    The Cabinet approved the civil aviation agreement between Iraq and Afghanistan.
