    Cabinet votes to allocate Contingency Funds to address water scarcity issue


    The Cabinet held its weekly regular meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.

    The Cabinet discussed Iraq’s water shortage issue and voted to allocate funds from the Contingency Fund to the Ministry of Water Resources to address water scarcity.

    The Cabinet commented on Iraq’s contribution to and outcomes of the OPEC conference held in Vienna last week.

    The Cabinet voted to ratify the air transport agreement between the Government of the Iraq and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    The Cabinet discussed marine traffic at Umm Qasr and other ports and reviewed inspection gate mechanisms.
