Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi chaired on Saturday a high-level meeting to review public services and infrastructure projects in the greater Baghdad area.
The meeting was attended by the Governor of Baghdad, senior officials from the Ministries of Finance, Planning, Electricity Health, Education, Construction and Housing as well as Baghdad Operations Command.
The Prime Minister received briefings on a range of measures being implemented to deliver a tangible improvement in essential services to the residents of the capital, particularly in electricity and drinking water provisions.
The meeting also discussed sewage, health and transport projects as well as programme and initiatives to boost job creation in the capital.
The Prime Minister directed relevant federal and local authorities to submit a report within a week on all incomplete or suspended service projects in the capital, and to identify impediments to their completion.
