Prime Minister Abd Al-Mahdi: Daesh must be held accountable

Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received in Baghdad the UN Special Adviser and Head of the Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for the Crimes of Daesh, Mr. Karim Khan.  Prime Minister Abd Al-Mahdi reiterated Iraq’s strong support for the work of the Investigative Team, adding that it is paramount that Daesh terrorists are held to account for their crimes in Iraq.  In September 2017, the UN Security Council  unanimously adopted resolution 2379 requested by the Iraqi government to hold Daesh accountable for its crimes in Iraq.
